The Sokoto Youths Mobilization Forum, has applauds the efforts of the Director General, Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof. Nnanyelugo M. Ike- Muonso for his unbending commitment in the development of local raw material resources for industrial growth in Nigeria. This commendation was made during a courtesy visit of the Chairman, Sokoto Youth Mobilization Forum Mr. Abdurashees Bello to the DG at the RMRDC headquarters, Maitama, Abuja recently.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the youth group described the DG as a leader per excellence, whose track record in improving and promoting local content development is going to have enduring national impact.
Mr. Bello noted that the group has followed closely Prof. Ike-Muonso’s progress since the assumption of his administration; his pursuit of the Raw Material Legislative Bill presently before the National Assembly, which hopefully will soon be passed into law, and has chosen to come salute the DG who he describes as a man of great vision.

He said the youth group want to identify with his track record of commitment in propagating policies and programmes geared toward building up the nations’ local raw materials sourcing and utilization capacities; with emphasize on local content value addition, which is critical for industrialization.
The Chairman presented a gift to the DG with an inscription, ‘A Leader Per Excellence’. He said the gift is to commemorate the visit and to encourage Prof. Ike-Muonso in his pursuit for national growth and development.
Responding Prof. Ike-Muonso said he is indeed impressed at their visit, and encouraged knowing that todays’ youths are getting involved in issues of national growth. He said their visit and commendation is a wakeup call for his administration to do more.
The DG assured the guests that his door is open to youth programmes and projects that are in line with achieving Council’s mandate; as the RMRDC will partner to bring it to fruition.
He urged the youth group to hold firm to their tenacity of promoting peace and progress in Nigeria.
