In a bid to promote industrialization and economic growth in Zamfara State, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) is working on a partnership with the Technology Incubation Center (TIC), Gusau.

The collaboration was announced when the Center Manager, Mr. Musa Abdulmalik paid a courtesy visit to RMRDC Zamfara State office recently. He said the collaboration is expected to enhance the quality and quantity of Kilishi production in the state, creating employment opportunities and boosting the local economy.
Mr. Abdul Malik expressed his excitement and the readiness of the center to work with the Council to establish a modern processing plant. He said this will not only improve the quality of Kilishi but also create a sustainable source of income for the people.
He observed that the Kilishi industry in Zamfara has been facing challenges in the area of quality and quantity of the products which are in very high demand even for export, but with the modern processing equipment production will be seamless.
Earlier, the state coordinator, Mr. Y . Hayatu in his opening remarks, applauded the TIC team and recalled the many existing relationships between the two parties. He said the Director General, RMRDC, Prof. Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso is committed to strategic collaborations aligning with the Council’s mandates with visible results.
“the council is willing to collaborate with critical stakeholders to promote both agro and mineral raw materials development. High-quality Kilishi development is one area that could be explored because of its demand both locally and internationally and could increase the state revenue through the export of the products “, he said.
