A team from the headquarters of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) led by the Head IHR/Aids & Grant, Mr. Blessing Odivwri, recently, visited the Cashew Processing Plant/Cashew Nutshell Liquid (CNSL) Extractor Machine at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to assess the cashew processing plant at FUNNAB. The visit was part of the Council’s broader initiative to enhance local industry capabilities and promote value addition in cashew production.
Mr. Odivwri said the Council has had strong collaboration with FUNAAB on the cashew project, fulfilling a part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two institutions.



He said cashew is a great area to be harnessed considering it benefits and its capacity to turn the economy of the Country around and he is glad that the institution is not leaving any stone unturned.
Briefing, the State Coordinator, Mr. Rabiu applauded FUNAAB on condition they found the cashew processing machineries at FUNAAB.
Responding, the Production Supervisor of the Center Mr. Aderibigbe Kayode, extended his appreciation to RMRDC especially the Director General, Prof. Nnanyelugo M. Ike-Muonso for the huge support. He further took the team through the inspection of the Cashew Processing Plant/CNSL Extractor Machine.
