In furtherance of its commitment to modernizing administrative processes and enhancing staff productivity, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) on July 20, 2025, held the second phase of its Performance Management System (PMS) training for staff in Cross River State.
The training, held at the RMRDC State Office in Calabar, was facilitated by Mrs. Beatrice Ojong, a resource officer from the Council’s Headquarters in Abuja. The session focused on the practical application of the PMS platform, particularly how staff can align their work schedules and activity plans with the system’s performance reporting framework.
Staff of the Cross River office participated actively, showing strong commitment to the Council’s digital transformation goals. During the session, they received hands-on guidance on how to input work plans, update daily task entries, and track performance indicators directly through the platform.
According to the facilitator, the training was designed to reinforce staff proficiency in using the platform, thereby ensuring seamless adoption and real-time performance tracking. The initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s directive to eliminate the use of paper-based systems in the civil service and transition to more efficient, tech-driven processes.
Speaking at the end of the session, participants expressed appreciation for the interactive nature of the training and the opportunity to engage directly with the PMS platform. Many described the session as timely and relevant, noting its potential to streamline workflow and foster greater accountability.
The Council remains committed to equipping its workforce with the tools and knowledge required for effective service delivery in a digitally evolving administrative landscape.
