The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso has charged staff of the Corporate Services Directorate (CSD) of the Council on the urgent need to begin the building of corporate brand image for RMRDC as it repositions to becoming a competitive player in the global raw materials space. Prof. Ike-Muonso gave the charge when the staff of CSD led by its Director, Mr Chukwuma Ngaha met with the Director General in his office, in Abuja.
The DG informed the staff that the Corporate Services Directorate was at the core of his agenda and plan to strategically reposition the Council as a formidable organization and authority in raw materials processing, development and utilisation. He stated that under his watch, the Directorate will be given its pride of place as the promoter of all programmes and activities of the Council. He stated further that because of the pivotal role of the Corporate Services Directorate, he is working out a comprehensive training and capacity building programmes that will equip staff of the Directorate to be able to both respond to the changing dynamics of global best practices and projecting the activities of the Council to its critical and strategic stakeholders.
In his response, the Director, Corporate Services Directorate, Mr Chukwuma Ngaha commended the DG for creating time off his busy schedule to meet with staff of the Directorate. He assured the Director General of the preparedness and willingness of staff of CSD to up their game in order to deliver on the DG’s vision for the Council.
