The Director General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso has admonished staff of the Council on the importance of maintaining both physical fitness and mental wellness as they are a necessity to engendering unity as well as increased productivity in the workplace. Prof Ike-Muonso stated this during the July Edition of the RMRDC Monthly Walking and Jogging Exercise which held in Abuja on Saturday, July 27, 2024, where he along with top management and staff of RMRDC took time off to engage in sporting exercises.
The DG while commending Executives of the RMRDC Sports Club for the Exercise further stated that the walking/Jogging Exercise can be used as a unifying factor to build the RMRDC community. He thanked members of staff of the Council for coming out en mass to participate in the Exercise.
Some members of staff could not hide their excitement as this happens to be the first time in many years that top management staff of the Council have turned out in large numbers to join the Exercise. They expressed optimism that with the DG leading the way, the RMRDC community was being repositioned to be a unified, productive and fit both physically and mentally for the task of rebuilding the Council.
One of the major highlights of the July Walking and Jogging Exercise was the presentation to the Director General, of staff who won different medalists for the Council at the just concluded Federal Public Service Games (FESPGA) held in Minna, Niger State.
