The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Bauchi state coordinating office reaffirms commitment to youth empowerment initiatives in Bauchi state aimed at equipping young people with skills and resources to drive economic growth and development.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between RMRDC, investors, and relevant stakeholders. It Seeks to address the challenges of youth unemployment, poverty, and lack of opportunities in the region.
The Bauchi state coordinator, Mr. Turaki Wambai made this known during a courtesy visit to the Bauchi state pilgrim board.
He said RMRDC with relevant stakeholders is planning to organise a training on artisanal mining in the state as many youths are venturing into the mining activities without proper knowledge and orientation.
The secretary of the board, Mr. Abdurrahman Ibrahim, also one of the investors, said he is interested in partnering with RMRDC and applauded the Council’s efforts and many of her commitments which have boosted the state’s economy.
“I desire to encourage our teeming youth to be enlightened and acquire skills on mining activities for those venturing and those already in the business to prosper, thereby boosting our nation’s economy and providing job opportunities”, he said.
The state coordinator further intimated on RMRDC mandates and said under the present leadership of Prof. Nnanyelugo M. Ike-Muonso, the Council is open to strategic partnerships that drive economic growth and development in Nigeria.
