The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Jigawa State Coordinating Office recently made a significant contribution to advancing local manufacturing at the joint annual general meeting and exhibition organized by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Kano/Jigawa Chapters, held at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The event brought together key industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and government agencies to foster collaboration, drive economic growth, address challenges, and explore solutions for the growth of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
The Jigawa State Coordinator, Mr. Abdulhamid Muhammad, who led the RMRDC team emphasized the council’s focus on developing local raw materials to reduce reliance on imports. He said RMRDC participation in the MAN exhibition demonstrates the council’s dedication to supporting indigenous manufacturers. He made presentations on various initiatives to aid manufacturers and entrepreneurs.
At the RMRDC exhibition stand was a display of various locally sourced raw materials and innovative products. RMRDC Jigawa engaged attendees, sharing expertise on raw material sourcing, research, and development.
The Chairman of the Bompai/Jigawa Branch MAN Mohammed Bello Umar lauded RMRDC’s effort and urged stakeholders to support local businesses, emphasizing the high quality and economic benefits of local products.
The exhibition is said to stimulate economic activities in Jigawa State, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and job seekers, and also providing a valuable networking platform to connect manufacturers, investors, and government officials.
