The Director General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof. Nnanyelugo Martins Ike-Muonso, paid a working visit to the Council’s Ogun State Coordinating Office at Block D Parastatal Building, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Accompanying him was the Director of the Planning, Statistics, and Policy Department, Mrs. Rachael Kai Kotso.
The DG and his team were excitedly received by the Ogun State Coordinator, Mr. Bashir Rabiu, along with the entire staff of the office. An interactive session was held at the general staff office, where Prof. Ike-Muonso engaged with staff on various operational matters.
During the session, the Director General inquired about staff strength and specific roles since the beginning of the year. He also invited staff members to share the challenges hindering effective service delivery.

In response, staff cited issues such as unstable power supply, lack of office furniture, limited computers, and other basic resources.
Prof. Ike-Muonso reassured the team that the Council is already taking steps to address these issues. He revealed plans to deploy solar-powered systems, supply additional computers and furniture, and generally improve the work environment to boost productivity.
He also emphasized the Council’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and staff welfare, encouraging the workforce to stay dedicated to RMRDC’s mission despite current limitations.

As part of the visit, the DG and his team inspected the State Resource Centre, where he offered suggestions for improving its efficiency and sustainability. He added that the Centre would soon undergo digitalization to enhance its relevance and accessibility.
The visit concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Bashir Rabiu, who appreciated the DG’s leadership and the team’s visit. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.
