Director General, Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof. Nnanyelugo Martins Ike-Muonso has charged staff of the council to work assiduously towards higher productivity vis-a-vis creating a better and new RMRDC.

He stated this during an inaugural meeting with staff of the Council in Abuja on Tuesday, 28th May 2024, following his appointment as the DG. The DG assured staff of his commitment to making the Council a centerpiece of attraction during his tenure in office. The DG further called on all hands to be on deck to set the ball rolling as it will no longer be business as usual.
He reiterated that his administration will ensure the following:
- Better remuneration for staff
- Restructuring of the system for better productivity.
- Provision of adequate working tools to staff to ensure efficiency and enhanced productivity.
- Ensure regular remittances.
- Include all unions in the strategic decisions.
- Ensure equity, fairness, good conscience, and justice for all.
- Adopt all statutory meetings of the Council.
- Ensure staff welfare is prioritized and many more, the DG said.
The Director, Corporate Services Directorate (CSD), Mr. Chuks Ngaha applauded the DG for all his promises and wished him a successful reign. He said the Corporate Services Department is ever primed to escalate his achievements to public reckoning and work towards ensuring the Council’s activities are well projected in the media space and thus giving the Council the public image it deserves.
The meeting had other directors and members of staff in attendance. Barr. Ngozi Keshi, Director Legal Services Directorate, appreciated the DG for the wonderful plans laid out for the Council. She prayed for grace for the Council to achieve and transform the Country’s economy to a greater height.
