The Niger State Coordinating Office of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Minna hosted the State Permanent Secretary Ministry for Rural and Community Development, Mallam Umar A. Dzukogi in the company of Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed, on a working visit to explore ways of enhancing the value chain addition of raw materials to create jobs and wealth through raw materials development utilization and value addition.
Mallam Umar also sought further collaboration with the RMRDC on Youth and Women Empowerment across rural communities in Niger State through a crop-boosting program.
The Permanent Secretary disclosed the readiness of the Ministry for Rural and Community Development to return to the RMRDC with other officials for more firsthand information about raw materials and possible value-addition.

The RMRDC Niger State Coordinator, Mr Yakubu Mohammed briefed the visiting Permanent Secretary about the Council’s objectives to enhance value addition to the nation’s raw materials to create jobs, industry, and economic growth.
After the meeting, the Perm Sec. Umar Dzukogi who was conducted around the RMRDC Resource Centre in Minna, was impressed with the series of raw materials and finished products on display.
