In a bid to ensure full participation of stakeholders in raw materials processing ecosystem in the upcoming Africa Raw Materials Summit scheduled for May 20th -22nd 2025, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Ondo State Coordinating office paid a courtesy visit to the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) to discuss possible areas of strategic partnership.
During the meeting, the state coordinator, Mrs. Tejumola who led the RMRDC team, outlined the Council’s mandate and emphasized the summit’s transformative potentials for local industries in the Country.
She stated that the international forum aims to unlock Africa’s raw materials potentials and foster sustainable industrial growth through value addition, investment attraction, and job creation opportunities.
Mrs. Tejumola stressed that the summit would provide invaluable opportunities for manufacturers to connect with global investors, establish strategic collaborations, and expand their professional networks. She emphasized that “by working together, we can unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s raw materials and drive economic growth and development in our region and beyond.”
In his welcome address, MAN President and Denki Wires and Cables CEO, Engineer Adewumi expressed enthusiasm about the summit and pledged to convene an emergency meeting with members of the association to discuss their participation.
Adewumi assured the RMRDC team that he would inform them promptly once the association reached a decision regarding their involvement in this continental event that will attract stakeholders including policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders from across Africa.
