The Osun State Ministry of Commerce and Industry hosted the Osun State Dinner and Industrial Investment Roundtable (D.I.I.R) on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at the State Secretariat, Abere. The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Osun State Office participated in the event, which aimed to discuss investment opportunities and drive economic growth in the state.
The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, welcomed attendees and stressed Osun State’s readiness to foster industrial development. He encouraged private stakeholders and partners to rally behind the October Roundtable, positioning it as a key driver of business expansion and local manufacturing excellence. According to him, “We are committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and promoting business engagements that will drive economic growth and development in Osun State.”

In his speech, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, represented by Professor Chinwe Obuaku, expressed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, attracting investors and promoting business engagements. According to him, “We envision an Osun State where industrialization drives economic growth, local content is valued and youths and women are empowered. Let us work together to build a brighter future for Osun State and drive sustainable economic growth for all.”
The CEO of 2AG Integrated and Tailored Solutions Ltd and representative of the Ooni of Ife, Mr. Ladi Adebayo, expressed the royal father’s delight in the industrial roadmap of the State and assured the government of the traditional institution’s support in actualizing the dreams of the State Government. “On behalf of His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, I express our profound support for the industrialization agenda of the Osun State Government. We believe that this initiative will drive economic growth, create jobs and improve the lives of our people. We pledge our support and cooperation to ensure the success of this noble initiative, “he stated,

The Osun-RMRDC State Coordinator, Mr. Adeyemi Saheed A, represented by Mrs. Komolafe Oluwatoyin, delivered an address emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving economic growth and sustainable development in the state. Mrs. Komolafe Oluwatoyin highlighted the Council’s commitment to harnessing Osun State’s abundant raw materials to promote industrial innovation and economic transformation through value addition.
According to her, “By adding value to our raw materials, we can attract new investment opportunities, create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Osun State. We believe that value addition is key to unlocking the state’s economic potential and improving the lives of our people.”
She noted that RMRDC is advocating for value addition as a means to bring investment opportunities and development to the state and to diversify the state’s economy. She extended her gratitude to Hon. Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, who represented the Governor at the last Africa Raw Materials Summit held in Abuja April, 2025.
She observed that his participation at the summit, is a testament to the Governor’s commitment to industrial development and economic growth in Osun State which by extension will foster the harnessing pf the state’s resources for the benefit of its people.
She reaffirmed the Council’s readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to drive economic development in the state, leveraging its expertise in raw materials development to support Osun State’s industrial agenda and promote a brighter future for all.

Other notable participants included Dr. Sam Olawoye, CEO of Sam Ace Pharmaceutical Company and representative of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), representatives of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Mr. David Ogunbanjo, CEO of O-Mobile World Ltd, representatives of the Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSCCIMA) and members of the media.
The Council has continued to reaffirmed its visibility and relevance within state-level industrial discourse, identified priority sectors where it’s expertise in raw materials development can support. This is evident in the Osun State’s industrial sector where RMRDC has demonstrated its readiness to collaborate in areas such as agro-processing, mineral-based value addition and industrial capacity building.
