The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) conducted the second phase of its Performance Management System (PMS) training for staff at the Adamawa State Coordinating Office as part of its ongoing efforts to boost service delivery and staff productivity through digital transformation.
Facilitated by Mr. Isa Abdullahi of the Council’s PMS Unit, the training emphasized the transition from manual processes to a comprehensive digital platform. Mr. Abdullahi explained that the new system is designed to improve accountability, streamline performance evaluations, and increase operational efficiency in line with the Federal Government’s digital agenda.
Participants were equipped with practical skills on navigating the PMS platform, including setting key result areas (KRAs), developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and formulating specific work objectives. A live demonstration of the Task Manager tool highlighted how tasks can be digitally assigned, tracked, and reported to foster better workflow management.
Adamawa State Coordinator, Mr. Honda T. Honda, commended the Director General for prioritizing staff capacity building. He acknowledged the training’s importance, especially amidst challenges such as unreliable internet connectivity, limited access to digital infrastructure, and the continuous need for skill development within the state office.
Staff in attendance welcomed the initiative and committed to applying the PMS framework to enhance their daily operations.
This training aligns with RMRDC’s broader strategic objective to modernize public service operations, strengthen institutional performance, and cultivate a technology-driven workforce for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
