The Zamfara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ZACCIMA) has announced plans to organize a joint domestic trade fair and exhibition focusing on agricultural and mineral raw materials in November 2024. This was revealed recently by ZACCIMA Vice President, Alhaji Kabir Alfijir, during a courtesy visit by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Zamfara State Coordinating Office.

Alhaji Kabir Alfijir emphasized the importance of the RMRDC’s role in the event as a key member of the trade fair committee. He stated that ZACCIMA is keen to collaborate with the Council to promote and showcase the abundant mineral and agricultural raw materials available in the state.
He also acknowledged the Council’s achievements in local raw materials development and utilization, expressing optimism that the collaboration between RMRDC, ZACCIMA, and the Ministry of Commerce would significantly boost economic activities, strengthen the industrial sector, and attract potential investors to Zamfara State.
Alhaji Alfijir commended the efforts of the RMRDC team and reaffirmed ZACCIMA’s commitment to organizing capacity-building workshops in partnership with the Council. He also mentioned that the upcoming trade fair would be organized in collaboration with the Ministries of Commerce of Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi States.
Speaking at the event, the RMRDC State Coordinator, Mr. Y. M. Hayatu, expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating that trade fairs and exhibitions are core activities of the Council. He reiterated RMRDC’s commitment to enhancing the development and utilization of local raw material resources to boost economic activities in the state.
Mr. Hayatu further emphasized that the Council is prepared to work with relevant stakeholders in such collaborative efforts to highlight the availability of raw materials, processing technologies, investment opportunities, research potential, and other pertinent information critical for the state’s economic growth and development.
