As part of its ongoing drive to promote industrial growth through local raw materials development, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Zamfara State Coordinating Office has deepened collaboration with Fresh Agro Alliance Nigeria Limited, a leading fertilizer manufacturer located along Gusau–Magami Road, Industrial Estate, Gusau.
The visit, conducted recently, was part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration with industries that align with RMRDC’s mandate of stimulating industrial growth and sustainable raw materials development across the country.
Welcoming the delegation, the Managing Director of Fresh Agro Alliance Nigeria Limited, Mr. Abdulkarim Muhammed commended RMRDC for its proactive role in supporting local industries. He described the visit as a strong indication of the Council’s continuous drive to encourage the use of indigenous raw materials in industrial processes. “We are delighted to receive the RMRDC team. Their visit demonstrates a genuine interest in strengthening collaboration with local industries like ours,” Abdulkarim stated.
He explained that Fresh Agro Alliance specializes in the production of NPK and Golden Fertilizers, with an annual production capacity exceeding 604,800 bags. The company employs over 50 personnel across different departments, with a flexible, productivity-based remuneration system.

During the facility tour, the RMRDC delegation was taken through key sections of the factory including the raw materials processing unit, production area, and finished products section where the Managing Director provided insights into the company’s operations and areas of potential collaboration.
He identified key challenges facing the company, such as insecurity, inadequate storage and transport facilities, limited access to capital, multiple taxation, difficulty sourcing certain chemicals locally, climate-related constraints, and high production costs. Mr. Abdulkarim appealed for increased government support and continuous engagement from RMRDC to help address these challenges and promote the sustainability of local fertilizer production.
In response, the RMRDC team commended Fresh Agro Alliance for its contribution to industrial development in Zamfara State and assured the company of the Council’s readiness to sustain collaborative efforts aimed at promoting value addition, job creation, and industrial growth through effective raw materials development and utilization.
The Council reiterated that such partnerships are essential to achieving Nigeria’s broader goals of industrial self-reliance and economic diversification.
