The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Ogun State Coordinating Office, participated in the quarterly meeting of the State Committee on Export Promotion (SCEP), which also marked the end of service of the Committee Chairman, Dr. Olu Ola Aikulola, who concurrently served as the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
The event, held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (MoITI) Conference Room, New Secretariat Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, brought together key stakeholders from relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as representatives of the Organized Private Sector (OPS).

In her welcome remarks, the State Coordinator of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Ms. Jumoke Abolaji, described the meeting as a special session dedicated to celebrating Dr. Aikulola’s exceptional service and leadership. She lauded his steadfast commitment to fostering synergy between the public and private sectors, which she noted had strengthened Ogun State’s non-oil export ecosystem.
According to Ms. Abolaji, Dr. Aikulola’s tenure witnessed remarkable progress in MSME capacity building, value addition, and export diversification, initiatives that positioned Ogun State as a leading contributor to Nigeria’s non-oil export agenda. She expressed the Council’s deep appreciation for his dedication, describing his leadership as visionary and transformative.
Representing the outgoing chairman, the Director of Commerce at the Ministry, praised Dr. Aikulola’s integrity, intelligence, and passion for service. He highlighted his enduring impact on Ogun State’s industrial and export landscape, noting that his legacy would continue to inspire future committee members.
The RMRDC delegation led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Rabiu B. O., commended Dr. Aikulola for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to public service. He described him as “a man of vision and legacy,” whose contributions would remain a cornerstone for continued development in the state’s export promotion efforts.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of goodwill messages, commendations, and renewed pledges of collaboration among stakeholders, all testifying to Dr. Aikulola’s impactful leadership and collective commitment to sustaining the momentum in advancing Ogun State’s industrial and export growth.
