As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and enhance productivity in the state, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Nasarawa State Office, has paid a courtesy visit to the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Nasarawa State Office.
The visit, led by the RMRDC State Coordinator, Mr. Yakubu Alaku, aimed to update the NPC on the Council’s recent activities and to seek partnership in the forthcoming Investment Summit on Value Addition in Sesame Oil Production.
In his remarks, Mr. Alaku expressed appreciation to the NPC for the recent productivity training extended to RMRDC staff. He highlighted the Council’s commitment to fostering innovation and local content development through strategic collaborations.
“We are grateful for the support the National Productivity Centre has given to our staff. This visit is to strengthen our partnership and seek further synergy, especially as we prepare for our investment summit on sesame oil value addition,” Mr. Alaku stated.
Responding, the Director of the National Productivity Centre, Mrs. Imosun Mojisola, commended the RMRDC for its proactive initiatives and assured of the Centre’s readiness to support the upcoming summit.
“The idea of promoting value addition in sesame oil production is commendable. It aligns with our mandate to enhance productivity and drive sustainable development,” Mrs. Mojisola said.
She further encouraged continued inter agency collaboration between the Council and NPC to expand opportunities for innovation, capacity building, and industrial growth in Nasarawa State.
The meeting rounded off with both agencies reaffirming their commitment to promoting local raw materials development and productivity enhancement as drivers of economic diversification.
