The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has established a Raw Materials Training School to address identified gaps in the raw materials development ecosystem. According to the Director General of RMRDC, Prof Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso, the training school which is set to debut in August 2024 provides an extraordinary opportunity to build the capacity of staff as the Council repositions for global competitiveness.
Speaking in the August edition of the Director General’s Monthly New Month Message to the staff of the Council, Prof Ike-Muonso stated further that Dr Ify Olife has been appointed as the pioneer Dean of the RMRDC Training School.
The DG called on staff of the Council across Divisions and Departments to avail themselves of the immense advantage provided by Training School. The RMRDC Training School will equally provide capacity building programmes for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Cooperative Societies, Youths and Women Associations, members of the Private Sector, individuals as well as MDAs.
Prof. Ike-Muonso also took out time to acknowledge and congratulate some staff who excelled and won medals for the Council at the last Federal Public Service Games (FEPSGA) which was held in Minna, Niger State. He commended the Council’s Sports Ambassadors for making RMRDC proud and fostering unity in the workplace. In the DG’s words, “the sky is the limit, and prosperity will abound when we unite as a family and demonstrate ownership, patriotism, equity, fairness and justice in all our dealings”, the DG said.
