The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Alhaji Sani Sadiq Achida, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Council while commending the Director-General, Prof. Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso, for his leadership and commitment to the Council’s mandate.
Alhaji Achida gave the assurance when the RMRDC Sokoto Coordinating Office paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday, 6 January, at his office as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and goodwill.
The delegation led by the State Coordinator, Hajia Bawa Nadia Abubakar, formally extended New Year greetings to the Board Chairman on behalf of the Sokoto Coordinating Office. She conveyed best wishes for a successful and productive year. She briefed the Chairman on recent activities, programmes and operations of the Council on local content development.
The State Coordinator highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the implementation of the Council’s mandate in the state, particularly in promoting the development and utilization of local raw materials for industrial growth.
Responding, Alhaji Achida warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit and the goodwill message. He commended the dedication and commitment of the Sokoto Coordinating Office and applauded the Director-General, Prof. Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso, for providing strategic leadership that continues to reposition the Council for greater impact nationwide.
The Board Chairman assured the delegation of his continued support towards the effective implementation of RMRDC programmes and policies. He further encouraged the Sokoto Coordinating Office to sustain its dedication to duty in advancing industrial development and resource utilization in Sokoto State.
The visit ended on a cordial note, with a group photograph taken to commemorate the occasion.
