The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Adamawa State Coordinating Office, has entered into a strategic partnership with Eco Harvest Organic, a subsidiary of Sani & Brothers Standard Investment Ltd, to promote value addition and enhance the export potential of agricultural raw materials in Adamawa State.
The collaboration focuses on processing a variety of locally sourced agricultural products, including tiger nut, turmeric, garlic, stone flower, hibiscus flowers, moringa leaves, soybeans, cayenne pepper, and green coffee beans—into high-quality, export-grade powders. All products are 100% natural and processed without chemical additives.
During an official visit to the processing facility in Dou Gassol, Damare, Makama A Ward, Yola South, the RMRDC State Coordinator, Mr. Honda T. Honda, emphasized the significance of supporting local processors and strengthening the agricultural value chain in Adamawa.
The facility, overseen by Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, is equipped with modern machinery such as dryers, grinders, extractor fans, sealers, and packaging systems. Each product undergoes a unique processing method, with raw materials dried at room temperature to maintain their natural quality and nutritional value.

This initiative aligns with RMRDC’s national mandate to promote the industrial use of local raw materials, reduce import dependence, and support Nigeria’s broader economic diversification through non-oil exports.
With packaging already underway to meet export standards, both RMRDC and Eco Harvest Organic plan to extend training and capacity-building programs to local farmers and processors, further strengthening the agricultural value chain in the region.
The partnership is expected to significantly boost agribusiness development, minimize post-harvest losses, and contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of Adamawa State.
