The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso has charged staff of the Council to imbibe exemplary and productive attitude to work. Prof Ike-Muonso stated this during the retirement ceremony organized to celebrate Director of the Council, Engr Dr. Joshua Oyebode Adekunle who retired from Service after attaining the mandatory thirty-five years in active service. Dr Adekunle was until his retirement, Director of Minerals and Materials Development Department of RMRDC.
Eulogizing the enviable work attitude of Engr Adekunle, the Director General emphasized that for the few months he had known the outgoing Director, he has demonstrated a strong sense of dedication, commitment and professionalism in carrying out given responsibilities. He described Engr Adekunle as a great asset to the RMRDC family and that the Council will truly miss his depth of knowledge and energy which he always brought to bear in any given assignment.
Prof Ike-Muonso then stated that as the Director General and CEO, retiring staff of the Council will continue to be celebrated and made to have a sense of fulfillment both during and after their service years.
Some serving and retired staff of the Council who turned up in their numbers to witness the occasion, unanimously attested to the exemplary leadership and work ethics of Engr Dr. Adekunle. They described him as a forthright and consistent person.
Engr Dr. Joshua Adekunle has worked in the Council since inception and is retiring meritoriously after thirty-five years in service.
