The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has partnered with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Osun State office to train staff on productivity at work. The partnership was marked with a Productivity Awareness Lecture held on November 3, 2025, at the Osun-RMRDC State office.
In his welcome address, the Osun State Coordinator of RMRDC, expressed his gratitude to the NPC team for their presence and dedication to promoting productivity among workers and citizens. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the organization’s goals and encouraged staff to take full advantage of the lecture to learn and grow. “Let us take this opportunity to learn and grow. Let us embrace productivity and make it a way of life. Let us strive to be the best version of ourselves, and let us make a positive impact in our communities,” he said.
The State Coordinator also highlighted the vision of the Director-General of RMRDC, Professor Nnanyelugo, Ike-Muonso which is geared towards ensuring the Council transforms productively. He encouraged staff to embrace the culture of productivity and strive for excellence in their workplace.

The State Coordinator of NPC, Mrs. Rabiu-Abodunrin Adebukola, during her speech at the lecture, highlighted the mandate of the National Productivity Centre, which is to promote productivity and efficiency in all sectors of the economy. She introduced her team and briefed the participants on the concept of productivity, which encompasses various aspects, including efficiency, effectiveness, quality, competitiveness, and motivation.
She emphasised on the various challenges that can hinder productivity, including poor time management, lack of clear goals and objectives, ineffective communication, distractions, and stress. Mrs. Rabiu-Abodunrin proposed solutions and tools to enhance productivity, including setting SMART goals, effective time management, and so on.
The session included a question-and-answer segment, where participants clarified their doubts and sought additional information on productivity-related issues. The NPC team provided detailed responses, drawing from their expertise and experience in promoting productivity and efficiency.
The partnership between NPC and Osun-RMRDC is aimed at equipping staff with productivity tools and techniques to improve their work ethics, accountability, and personal effectiveness in the workplace. The training is expected to enhance staff productivity and contribute to the overall growth and development of the organization.
