The Centre Manager of the Technology Incubation Centre in Niger State, Mr Jibrin Musa, has commended the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) for its outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the technology sector in Nigeria.

Mr. Musa made this known during a working visit to the RMRDC resource centre Niger State Coordinating Office. Mr. Musa expressed his admiration for the Council’s state-of-the-art facilities showing the array of minerals and agro-raw materials on display at the RMRDC Resource and Information Centre.
Mr Musa, who recently assumed the office as Centre Manager in Minna, emphasized the importance of promoting technological advancement initiatives to bridge the gap in research development, capacity building and entrepreneurship.
He emphasized the need for synergy between government agencies, private sector stakeholders and academia to drive technological growth and economic development in Nigeria.
He also called for enhanced strategic collaboration with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by providing support, and resources to startups and tech ventures.
Responding, the Niger State Coordinator of the RMRDC, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed welcomed the commendation and expressed Council’s commitment to advancing technology in Nigeria. He observed that such visits foster mutual understanding and contribute to achieving better outcomes.
Mr. Yakubu also reiterated the RMRDC’s commitment to maintaining a viable working relationship with the Technology Incubation Centre. This includes: providing mentoring, creating training opportunities, and offering access to technology and business networks for young entrepreneurs to accelerate their growth and drive economic development.
Earlier, Mr. Jibrin Musa and his team, including Head of Tech Ndagi Alhassan, Commercial Officer Attahiru Yusuf, Head of Servicom Abdullahi Babadoko Baba, and others, took a tour round the RMRDC Resource and Information center, where they were impressed by the cutting-edge equipment and raw materials display in the center.
