Experts in Broadcast media, public speaking, and digital marketing have unanimously commended the Director General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof Nnanyelugo M. Ike-Muonso, for his commitment to building the capacity of staff of the Council to enhance their proficiency and productivity. They described the DG as a visionary and proactive leader
Speaking at a three-day Media Masterclass program for staff of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs (DCA), seasoned broadcaster and Executive Director of West African Broadcast and Media Academy (WABMA), Mr. Mike Yawe stated that for an organization like the RMRDC to organize such a training for its staff demonstrates that the Director General has high expectations from the staff of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs. He assured the DG that with the calibre of facilitators and resource persons handling the training, the skills and knowledge of the participants will be greatly enhanced for improved productivity.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Director, Directorate of Corporate Affairs (DCA), Mr. Chukwuma Ngaha, admonished participants to take the training program very seriously to sharpen their skills to contribute their quota in the new RMRDC. According to Mr. Ngaha, “this training aims to enhance your skills in key areas, including public speaking, content creation, video and audio editing, digital marketing, online radio management, and graphic design”.
He emphasized that the topics were deliberately selected to build individual capacity, on the one hand, and on the other hand, Departmental capacity in those areas. He pointed out that at the end of the training, participants would become more equipped with the required skills to perform their tasks efficiently and equally contribute to the achievement of the overall mandate of the Council.
At the end of the 3-day Media Masterclass, participants unanimously expressed optimism that the Media Masterclass could not have come at a more auspicious time, as it exposed them to new strategies in their chosen fields.
