The session, which held at the Council’s headquarters in Abuja, is part of ongoing efforts to ensure fairness, transparency, and full readiness for the Council’s internal promotion exercise.
During the exercise, the Director-General of RMRDC Prof. Nnanyelugo M. Ike-Muonso, addressed participating staff and emphasized that the entire promotion process must be guided by the highest standards of integrity. He noted that the process would undergo scrutiny to ensure no compromises are made.
“I don’t want any promotional exam that is short of the highest level of integrity. So, if you are going to the next level, you know you really merit it”, the DG said.
The staff who took part in the mock examination were guided through the process by the Chief Technical Officer, Hottakes Technology Solutions Ltd, Mr. Muhammad Mubarak Sani. He gave live demonstrations on how to use the examination portal, with participants following along step by step.
Prof. Ike-Muonso also made it known that the exam questions will be prepared by 20 or more people with high amount of confidentiality, using a set format for writing the questions and answer choices, with all questions submitted on the day of the exam, before it commences to ensure the process is fair.
The DG further warned of consequences for any form of malpractice or resource leaks, including potential legal action against culprits.
He also explained that monitoring features will be set in place for the examination, once a candidate clicks the start button, the computer system will automatically record a full video of the examination session from start to finish to ensure accountability.
Present during the mock examination were the Directors of the Council, along with other members of the management staff.
The mock examination is an important step in making sure that RMRDC’s 2025 senior staff promotion process is fair, trustworthy, and supported by technology. The real exams are expected to take place soon.
