The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing local content in Nigeria’s industrial landscape through a strategic visit to Trinity Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd. The engagement, held on September 17, 2025, at the company’s facility along Umuokanne Road, Obinze, Owerri West LGA, Imo State, marks a significant step in advancing the Council’s Local Content Development Programme.
Leading the RMRDC delegation was Mr. Enemuo David, Imo State Coordinator, who was received by Mr. Raphael Maduako, Chief Executive Officer of Trinity Manufacturing, and Mrs. Mercy Chinagorom, Chairperson of Women in Export, Imo State.
Trinity Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of Trinity Seven Enterprises Inc, founded in Michigan, USA, in 2017 began full operations in Nigeria in 2020. The company specializes in processing agricultural raw materials into high-value products, including poultry feeds, vegetable oils, palm oil, palm kernel oil, and a variety of processed spices such as ginger, turmeric, star anise, chili pepper, onions, and garlic powder.
During the visit, the RMRDC team toured the company’s major production units, including an 80-ton-per-day automated poultry feed mill, a seed oil extraction plant, a soap production section, and a spices processing and packaging unit.
A closed-door meeting followed the facility tour, during which both parties explored areas of mutual collaboration, particularly in bridging raw material supply gaps through enhanced local sourcing. The discussions culminated in a mutual agreement to pursue a strategic partnership focused on industry-driven research, development, and raw material needs assessment.
This initiative represents a significant stride toward achieving sustainable industrialization and self-reliance in Nigeria’s agro-processing sector.
