The Imo State Coordinating Office of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has deepened its commitment to operational efficiency and digital transformation with the successful conclusion of the second phase of its Performance Management System (PMS) training.
The training, held at the Council’s office in Owerri, focused on enhancing staff proficiency in utilizing the PMS platform, a key tool for fostering a culture of performance-driven governance. Facilitated by the Senior Technical Officer, Mr. Christopher Ejiogu, from the Performance Management Unit, the session provided participants with practical knowledge on navigating the portal, setting Key Result Areas (KRAs), and defining measurable goals.
Staff also received guidance on the use and troubleshooting of the Frappe App, the Council’s digital attendance monitoring tool, further reinforcing the Council’s push towards a fully paperless workflow.
Described as highly interactive, the training featured live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and an open forum for questions and clarifications. Participants were encouraged to regularly engage with the PMS portal and monitor official communication channels to ensure alignment with institutional objectives.
Imo State Coordinator, Mr. David Enemuo, commended the leadership of RMRDC’s Director General and CEO, Professor Nnanyelugo M. Ike-Muonso, for his strategic drive towards digital innovation within the Council.
“This training is another demonstration of RMRDC commitment to transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment,” Enemuo said. “It positions Council to play an even more impactful role in advancing Nigeria’s industrial and economic development.”
The initiative underscores RMRDC’s resolve to equip its workforce with the tools necessary for effective performance tracking and result-oriented service delivery, in line with the federal government’s broader digitalization agenda.
