Panoramic Synergy Enterprise (PSE) Ltd has offered free cybersecurity training to staff of the ICT Department of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), supporting the Council’s effort to strengthen its digital security and protect sensitive information.
The training which was held in the RMRDC Headquarters in Abuja focused on cybersecurity and was conducted by a four-man team from the company. The programme focused on key areas such as information gathering techniques and identifying vulnerabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) devices, both of which are crucial for preventing and responding to cyber threats.
Participants also learned how to avoid accidental exposure of sensitive data, implementing strong backup policies and monitor their server environments for signs of intrusion. The training included hands-on sessions and ended with a test to evaluate the participants’ understanding of the topics covered.

The Director-General of RMRDC, Professor Nnanyelugo Martins Ike-Muonso, during his brief appearance at the training, congratulated the staff for the opportunity and thanked Panoramic Synergy Enterprise Ltd for offering the training free of charge. He urged the participants to take full advantage of the training, apply the knowledge in their daily work, and share what they have learned with other staff across the Council’s departments.
The Director Information and Communication Technology Department, Mr. M.D Gimba in his closing remarks praised the staff for their active participation and encouraged them to keep building their skills to stay ahead of growing cyber risks. He also thanked the facilitators and called on the participants of the training to share what they learned with other staff of RMRDC.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director, Infrastructure Management Department (IMD/ICT), Mr. Danjuma Hassan, worked closely with the facilitators and participants to ensure the smooth running of the training. He encouraged the participants to pay close attention and make the most of the opportunity, while also ensuring that the hands-on practical session was effectively carried out.
The free training is an important step in the Council’s effort to create a safe and efficient digital system. It also shows RMRDC’s commitment to protecting its network and partnering with others who support learning and growth.
