As part of efforts to promote capacity building, the RMRDC Akwa Ibom State Coordinating Office joined the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) in a two-day workshop on trade flow analysis held from May 28 to 29, 2025.
At the workshop, the NEPC State Coordinator, Mr. Idongesit Essien, emphasized the importance of the event for entrepreneurs aiming to bring their products up to export standards. He highlighted key topics such as branding, packaging, and pricing as critical to success in international markets.
Mr. Anietie Akpan, RMRDC State Coordinator, encouraged participants to view local distribution as only the beginning of their business journey, with advancement being the ultimate goal. He stressed that effective branding and packaging are essential for creating a strong first impression and conveying the product’s identity and value.
“These elements play a critical role in ensuring a product stands out and is competitively priced,” Akpan said. He urged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the workshop to help grow their businesses.
By the end of the two-day workshop, participants had gained valuable insights into how strategic branding and packaging can elevate their products and improve their chances in export markets.
