The Plateau State Office of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) paid an industrial visit to The Lord’s Presence Global Company, an agro-allied enterprise in Jos, on August 18, 2025. The visit aimed to deepen collaboration and promote the use of local raw materials for sustainable industrial development.
Led by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Salifatu Guruza the RMRDC delegation was received by the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Mathias Polycarp Waple, at the company’s facility in the Rayfield area of Jos South Local Government Area.
Mrs. Guruza emphasized the Council’s commitment under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology to supporting innovation, industrial development, and optimal utilization of Nigeria’s vast raw material resources. She stated that the visit was part of RMRDC’s ongoing engagement with industries to better understand their operations and explore areas for partnership.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Waple shared the company’s journey, noting that The Lord’s Presence Global Company was established over 15 years ago to help farmers reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers, which pose health and environmental risks. The company produces Albarka Organic Fertilizer, made by blending eleven organic-rich substances including various animal droppings, industrial waste materials, and natural lime or ash.
The MD highlighted the firm’s certifications with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), while naming Plateau Agricultural Development Programme (PADP) and the National Veterinary Research Institute, Vom as key consulting partners.
Responding to questions, Mr. Waple said the company currently produces between 30 to 60 tons (600–1,200 bags of 50kg) of organic fertilizer daily, with the capacity to scale up to 300 tons per day. He assured the RMRDC team that Nigeria has sufficient raw material resources to meet national demand if organic fertilizer adoption becomes mainstream.
On comparative yield, he said organic fertilizers can rival or exceed chemical alternatives when properly applied. He supported this claim with video evidence of thriving green crops cultivated using their products.
While the company’s primary market is within Plateau State, sample products have been sent to other states, and The Lord’s Presence Global Company currently partners with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), which distributes their products to farmers as part of government interventions. The MD welcomed more collaborations and even offered co-branding options for partners.
Addressing operational challenges, Mr. Waple cited the need for a permanent site, more trucks and equipment, better quality control from raw material suppliers, and inadequate electricity supply all of which impact production efficiency and cost.
He concluded by reaffirming the company’s commitment to environmental health, food security, and economic growth through organic agriculture. “We are open to partnerships that will help empower farmers, green the environment, and transform agriculture across Nigeria,” he said.
