To strengthen internal accountability and boost workplace efficiency, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Katsina State Coordinating Office, organized a one-day training on the Performance Management System (PMS) on July 21, 2025.
The session, held at the state office, marked the second phase in the Council’s nationwide rollout of PMS aimed at improving task tracking, performance evaluation, and overall staff productivity.
Miss Halima Muhammad Bagudu, who facilitated the training, provided staff with a practical introduction to the PMS platform, including its objectives, structure, and functionalities. She emphasized how the system supports the Council’s broader mission by aligning staff activities with RMRDC’s five core goals and departmental Key Result Areas (KRAs).
The training targeted State Coordinators, Heads of Departments, Unit Heads, and general staff, with a major focus on task delegation and timely reporting. Participants were guided through the performance appraisal cycle, rating mechanisms, and the evaluation criteria embedded within the PMS.
A highlight of the session was the hands-on demonstration of the Task Manager feature, enabling staff to better understand how to assign, track, and respond to tasks through the platform. Miss Bagudu also created space for interactive discussions, where staff members actively engaged by asking questions and seeking clarifications to strengthen their understanding.
Staff welcomed the training with enthusiasm, providing positive feedback on the clarity and practical value of the session. Suggestions were also made for future improvements and continuous reinforcement.
The initiative reflects RMRDC’s dedication to promoting a results-oriented work environment through strategic digital innovation and continuous staff development.”
