The staff of Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Anambra State Coordinating Office, gathered to honour one of its own, Mr. Chinedu Obinna Ndukwe, Principal Executive Officer, as he bowed out of active service after years of dedicated and meritorious service to the Council and the nation.
The event, held at the RMRDC State Office in Awka, was filled with heartfelt expressions of gratitude and fond memories of Mr. Ndukwe’s contributions to the Council’s vision, mission and mandate. Colleagues, friends, and well-wishers described him as a committed professional administrator, known for his integrity, diligence, and deep understanding of the Council’s operational goals.
In her farewell speech, the Anambra State Coordinator of RMRDC, Dr. (Mrs) Uche Arinze-Nwosu, appreciated God for granting Mr. Ndukwe the grace to retire alive and in good health, despite the various challenges that often come with public service.

“We are grateful to God for the life of Mr. Ndukwe. His retirement in good health is a blessing and a testimony of a career well spent. In a system filled with uncertainties, it is not an easy task to begin and end well. We celebrate not just the end of his service but the quality of service he rendered throughout his years with the Council,” she said.
She commended Mr. Ndukwe for his consistency and his role in the realisation of the Council’s mandate within Anambra State and various states he worked in, including the Council’s headquarters, especially in promoting the development and utilization of local raw materials.
Fellow staff also poured encomiums on the retiring Principal Executive Officer, noting his invaluable input in fostering teamwork, mentorship, and administrative excellence. His legacy, they said, would continue to inspire younger officers within the Council.
In a brief response, Mr. Ndukwe thanked God, the Council’s leadership, and former colleagues for their support over the years, expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve and retire honourably.
“It has been an incredible journey of learning, growing, and contributing to national development through the Council. I leave fulfilled and hopeful for the greater future of RMRDC,” he said.
The event concluded with showers of gifts and a release of prayer blessings for the celebrant, wishing the best in his future endeavours.
