In a continued drive to enhance institutional efficiency through digital transformation, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Kaduna State Office has organized a refresher training for its staff on the use of the Performance Management System (PMS) and Frappe HR tools.
The in-house training, held at the RMRDC Kaduna office, aimed to deepen staff proficiency in the deployment of digital platforms for performance evaluation, human resource management, and workflow optimization.
Facilitated by the RMRDC Kaduna PMS Desk Officer, Mr. Abdulmumin Abubakar Sangari, the session covered core features of the PMS portal—including goal setting, performance appraisals, and real-time monitoring—as well as key modules within the Frappe HR system such as digital leave applications, attendance tracking, employee data management, and automated approvals.
In his opening remarks, the Kaduna State Coordinator of RMRDC, Mr. Shehu Jibrin Mutallab, underscored the importance of digital literacy in achieving transparency and efficiency within the public service.
“Mastering these systems is non-negotiable for transparent, results-driven governance,” he stated. “This retraining ensures the team leverages technology to meet institutional targets and accountability standards.”
Participants commended the training for its hands-on approach, noting improved understanding and usability of the platforms. Many acknowledged that the systems have simplified daily administrative processes and enhanced their confidence in executing tasks more effectively.
The initiative forms part of RMRDC’s broader strategy to strengthen internal capacity and promote a digitally driven culture in line with its mandate to advance Nigeria’s raw materials sector through innovation and operational excellence.
